About Spoken Sis
Spoken Sis is a Black woman owned phrase-based apparel brand creating graphic t-shirts inspired by real conversations between Black women - the affirmations, jokes, laughter, and everyday words that remind us we are seen, supported, and never alone.
How It Started
It started with a conversation. The kind that happens between sisters, best friends and the women who know you - where someone says exactly the right thing at exactly the right moment and you think, I needed to hear that. Those words stayed with me. And I kept thinking, what if more women could carry that feeling with them every day?
That's how Spoken Sis was born. Not from a business plan, but from real moments. The kind Black women have been having forever, in kitchens, group chats and parking lots ... holding each other up with words that the world doesn't always say to us.
Our Mission
Spoken Sis exists to put those words on your body. To make apparel that feels like a hug from your sister, a reminder from your best friend, a note you wrote to yourself on a hard day. Every phrase we design is rooted in sisterhood, Black joy and the quiet confidence that comes from knowing who we are.
We believe getting dressed should feel like an affirmation. That what you wear can be a conversation starter, a mood lifter, and a love letter to yourself-all at once.
The Design Philosophy
We keep it clean. Bold typography. Phrases that hit. Everyday pieces you actually want to wear-not just for a moment but for years. No clutter, no noise. Just the words that matter, on premium tees made to move with you. Our shirts are made from a soft, breathable premium cotton blend with a relaxed unisex fit because comfort and confidence matter to us. Size down for a fitted look, size up if you love that oversized feel. Whatever suits your feeling.

Every phrase in our collection has been said, heard, or felt by someone in our community. If it made us feel something, we put it on a shirt.
A Note from the Founder
Hi, I'm Mattie-the woman behind Spoken Sis. I created this brand because I wanted something that reflected the way we actually talk to each other. The real stuff. The funny stuff. The stuff that makes you feel less alone at 2am. I hope when you wear a Spoken Sis tee, you feel exactly that - Seen, Celebrated and surrounded by sisterhood, even when you're standing alone.
